Wolseley Hornet Shorty that was superbly converted in the late 1970's early 1980's. Bought in a sorry state by ourselves, we felt this unique car was worthy of a full restoration to the condition you see it in now.

Invoices on file total £10,600 and much more has been spent.

The Restoration was carried out by the world renowned Mini expert Bill Richards at Bill Richard's Racing in Ashford in Kent and the interior trim was by Bryan Purvess also a Mini expert and author on the subject.

The car has huge history file with all receipts, photographs, a Heritage Certificate and the original Workshop manual as well as the Driver's Handbook and the car has a current MOT.

As you can imagine, there are many bespoke items on this car including the 'Shorty' badge and the rear boot rack. Amazingly, the boot is big enough to take a full shopping trolley of groceries. This car is only 263cm long, 134cm wide and 125cm high.

The 998cc engine pulls very well and sounds amazing and the everything works as it should. There is a classic styled CD player in the car so the soundtrack to the drive is great.

It is worth noting that the brakes have been uprated to discs for peace of mind.

Shorty has been in our ownership for a decade and we have had a lot of fun in the car especially on the London to Brighton runs and numerous shopping trips. This is one car that always raises a smile and looks fantastic in the coastal towns near where we live - a real seaside car for this amazing weather.

There is a full tonneau cover that comes with the car for inclement weather with a drivers side that rolls back. There is also a full car cover and 2 matching umbrellas. The car also has 2 under seat picnic baskets that are Wolseley branded.

The drivers side rolls back leaving the driver free to drive whilst keeping the passenger side out of the elements.
