1944 E83W Fordson Van
A rare little van that was painted to mirror the paint scheme of the Aircraft it was used as a support vehicle for. A 1946 Stampe SV4C based at Headcorn in kent. The van had a tough and long life that started with purchase by the Air Ministry. After WW2 it changed hands several times and was used in many different roles. The van became part of the collection at the Brighton 7 Hove Engineerium Museum where it was sold on. It became part of our collection and we undertook the vital work it needed to be used on a regular basis. The small Ford engine could deliver 40MPH at the top end. The van was sold on to Raymond Cuprers who has an aircraft restoration business in Antwerp where the Stampe and Vertongen Museum resides. The perfect home for this little van.
